Yes, a quick whizz back to MRI in ambulance because no sleep since last posting, coughing all night long, sneezing, sweating - half dead for lack of sleep and banging headache with coughing.
Again A&E consultant very helpful. Determind that I had irritable or excitable airways (hmm) and provided yet another inhaler with steroids (the purple whizzer in addition to the crackpipe) and another round of vicious antibiotics. Thus another week of all of the previus symptoms but last night, I had an uninterrupted night's sleep with no irritating or excitable symptoms. Thank God. It's impossible to describe to how debilitating it is to have your system stripped so thoroughly of all good and bad bacteria which fill your entire gut with thrush and to have little sleep to help you combat it. Antibiotics led to throwing up, no appetite (incredible. Beloved Husband has always said that the only way to tell if I'm dead or asleep is if I am not eating). Lost one stone.
But Beloved Sister hightailed down from Scotland to help Darling Daughter (who is nearly bowlegged with running around the country on work things to keep coming back and cleaning and caring for me and Beloved Husband who is also on his sixth round of antibiotics for this bloody recurring chest infection) coax me back into the land of the living, wrap me up and take me out for short trips (mainly to Sainsburys but who cares), make me laugh, make me eat, and help me to make sense of all the jabbering that has been going on with GPs, hospitals, etc. Bless their little cotton socks - love them both so much, I can hardly speak with gratitude.
Anyway desperately missed art classes, sketching trips, spring exhibition but hey-ho. Hope to continue on an upward trend from today. Fingers crossed.
